ich habe hier die Tage eine kleine Diskussion über das Thema Copyright mitbekommen.

Meine Frage:

Wie sollte es denn jetzt richtig sein?

Die Copyrightinformation am unteren Forenrand muß gut sichtbar sein und darf nicht verändert werden.

Nur? Das ist nicht viel weniger Schlimm, es sei denn die Authoren der Skins erlauben das entfernen.

Hab es irgendwo runtergeladen.

Außerdem war das nur eine Vorlage, sozusagen.

Naja, das Problem ist das es ja "sein" Werk ist, und du mit dem Download meistens gleichzeitig Lizenzbestimmungen akzeptierst, und somit auch akzeptierst nicht das Copyright zu entfernen.

Wenn man den Skin z.B. anpasst, könnte man schreiben:

Skin by XYZ angepasst von XYZ

Oder sonstwas Aber ich kenn deinen Skin ja nicht, und weiß auch nicht in wie weit er geändert wurde.

Wenn der Ersteller des Skins nicht explizit angegeben hat, das sein Copyright unangetastet bleiben soll, kann man es entfernen, auch wenn das vielleicht nicht die feine Art ist.

Sollte man beim Download keinerlei Lizentbestimmungen zugestimmt haben bzw. war es so downloadbar oder keinerlei Hinweise innerhalb des Skins in der Hinsicht, dann kann der Ersteller auch nichts dagegen machen.

Somit es demjenigen überlassen, der das Skin einsetzt, ob er das Copyright so drin läßt, abändert oder auskommentiert. Ob man das jetzt gut findet oder nicht, ist eine andere Sache.

wen hier interessiert eigendlich ein (amerikanisches) copyright?

und der urheberrechtsschutz von uns wird im fall "honolulu" wohl auch nicht interessieren ...

allerdings würdigt man die werke anderer schon damit, das man wenigstens seines copylefts nicht enthabt *g*

wie sieht es mit mit dem "powered by invision board" in der anzeige des ie's aus u. dann noch mit der verlinkung des logo4.gif's wenn ich da z.b. nur mit der maus draufzeige steht da ja auch powered by drauf ...

also es ist mir schon klar das das copyright unten stehen sollte aber mit den anderen "powered by" .. wie verhält es sich damit ? also ein bisschen übertrieben finde ich das schon ...

bitte gebt mir hierfür eine wirklich existierende info ... od. habt ihr nen link wo man das genau nachlesen kann was man ändern darf u. was nicht

Also in den Lizenzbestimmungen, den man beim Download zustimmen muß, steht folgendes:

SCOPE OF GRANT

You may:

    * customise the Software's design and operation to suit the internal needs of your web site

    * produce and distribute modification instructions, Skin packs, or Language packs provided that they contain notification that the Skin and Language packs were exported from and originally created by Invision Power Board and/or IPS.     * create applications which interface with the operation of the Software provided said application is an original work

You may not:

    * permit other individuals to use the Software except under the terms listed above

ok das is scho besser nur das mit dem logo4 würde mich noch interessieren !

immerhin is ja im original auch das ipb logo drinn .. aber das darf ich ja ändern .... u. die info wenn ich mit dem mauszeiger drauf gehe ... bezieht die sich nun nur auf das logo ? weil wenn ja darf ich das ja eigentlich auch ändern da das logo ja von mir gemacht wurde u. der link beim draufklicken ja nur zur index.php führt also zu meiner startseite ....

Klar darf man das auch ändern.

Schau dir mal die Kompletten Custom Skins an, dort gibts kaum noch ein "Logo" in alter Form, und dann auch nie mehr anklickbar. Dort verschwindet das dann Automatisch. Und wie in der Lizenz zu sehen, spricht nichts dagegen, wie ich aber glaube ich auch schonmal sage ;)
